Daging dendeng.

Hello ladies.

Daging dendeng is one of my favourite!! Suka gila. Kalau nak raya je mesti mintak kan mak orderkan dengan kawan dia, mak cik zah. Dendeng dia memang marvellous! Mak tak penah pulak buat sendiri. Tak tahu la mak tau buat ke tak. Maybe sebab macam leceh sikit so mak malas kot. Banyak lagi benda lain mak nak masak and of course rasa terbaek!

Masa duduk HUKM dulu pun selalu makan daging dendeng ni. Ada satu foodcourt dekat dengan BHP. Dendeng die lain sikit ngan makcik zah punya. Garing-garing tak berkuah sgt. Makan dengan sambal belacan. Perkkhh...

So, today disebabkan dah tiap-hari masak tak tahu dah nak masak apa. Asyik ulang menu sama je, so operasi meng-google pun bermula. Then jumpa la resepi daging dengeng.. Wuuhuuu. Excited uols. Tengok bahan-bahan pun semua ada kat rumah. Tak payah bak meredah snow :)

So, tanpa melengahkan masa. 

Bahan-bahan :

Daging ( di potong nipis )
Kicap manis

Bahan kisar :
Bawang merah
Bawang putih
Halia
Cili kering

(Bahan-bahan ni semua, i memang tak letak amount. Semua pun ikut sesedap rasa, sesuka hati. Itu barulah seni. Haha)

Caranya :

1. Rebus daging sampai empuk. I remembered last time mak used to put a metal spoon dalam periuk rebusan daging. Nak bagi daging cepat empuk katanya. 

2. Lepas daging empuk, keluarkan. Simpan air rebusan. Then daging ditumbuk-tumbuk manja untuk leperkan and lembut kan dia lagi.

3. Daging yang dah ditumbuk tu then peramkan dalam kicap manis about 10-20minutes.

4. Then, goreng kan daging yang dah peramkan tu dengan minyak. Yang ni ikut korang, kalau suka daging tu lembut tak payah goreng lama. Kalau suka garing, boleh goreng sampai dia garing.

5. Lepas goreng daging, letak dalam bekas. Minyak yang sama tumiskan bahan kisar tu sampai masak or garing. 

6. Then, masukkan balik daging tu. Kalau nak basah-basah berkuah boleh letak sikit air rebusan tadi. Jangan letak banyak. I tak letak pun sebab nak dia kering sikit. 

7. Gaulkan sampai sebati, then letak garam and gula secukup rasa. Siap!

Baby is coming!!

Salam everyone...

Alhamdulillah, tahun ni insyaAllah will be an interesting year. Amenn... Amenn..  Selepas 6 bulan "berpisah" dengan cik abe sayang now we're back staying togather. US and Malaysia is sssooo faaarrr awaaayyyy~  so bila dah duduk sama ni baru lah hati berasa tenang. But, yup! A lot of things that I need to sacrifice. But entry ni I tak nak cakap pasal tu. Nanti sedih. I nak cakap pasal benda happy. I'm having a baby!! Syukur alhamdulillah.. Duduk sini terus lekat u ols. LOL!

Last week I did my fist antenal check up. I buat dekat Brooklyn Hospital. Kat sini lain sikit. There is no such thing macam kat Malaysia which ade goverment hospital, ade private hospital. No no no. Sini medical expenses you kene bayar sendiri. Either you pay by your own cash or by insurance. Alhamdulillah since Im not working at the moment, I'm eligible untuk apply Medicaid. Lebih kurang macam insurance, tapi no monthly fees. Dia akan cover all antenatal check up, delivery, postnatal check up sampai baby umur 3 tahun. Bagus kan? Syukur dapat rezeki macam tu.




And then, mase my first antenal check up tu, yang jumpa I is not a doctor tapi midwife. Midwife yang sama ni la yang akan tengok I everyfollow up sampai lah I deliver. My midwife nama die Yvette Byer. Nice black lady. I like her. What I did during my first antenatal check up? I would say its quite different from what we have in Malaysia. 

First sekali mase I datang tu die amik my urine for FEME. Basically die nak tgk I ade urinary infection ke tak. Then amik my vitals sume tu lah. Lepas tu I masuk bilik Yvette. She did some interview. Ask a few personal questions then examine. Hebat midwife sana bole buat full examination. Die check thyroid, breast, abdomen. Part paling mantap die buat bimanual examination and pap smear. Kat Malaysia selalu tak buat pap smear lagi-lagi masa pregnant. Tapi sini buat. Mungkin dia tak nak terlepas orang dari buat screening for cervical ca kot. Ye la cuba kalau bagi appointment untuk pap smear je, out of 10 maybe 3 will be dafaulted. Alasan : takut sakit. It is sakit, but just for awhile mase masuk speculum tu. Pastu ok je. ( cececehh... Dah lepas cakap la ok. Haha )



And then, after I dah settle dengan Yvette, phlebotomist pulak jumpa I untuk amik darah. Im not very sure darah apa dia amik other than yang routine macam Malaysia sebab macam banyak gile tube die amik. 



Lepas tu, I kene jumpa nutritionist, health worker and mental heath worker. Semua semua ni bilik die sebelah-sebelah or just around the corner je. At the same area. And then, siap ade check list for each and everyone yang you pegi jumpa ni. Boleh nampak tak macam mana dieorg really take care pasal women and child health ni. I bet you, kalau la kita kena pegi benda-benda ni dengan kesedaran sendiri memang tak la kan. And then, they are really systematic and pandai to minimize defaulter. They make it a point untuk letak all these personale at one place so that patient senang nak pegi jumpa and tak payah nak naik turun building untuk jumpa different different person. And each personale akan bawak you pergi jumpa next personale by themselves, and make sure that people is around and available. Basically, zero waiting time. How good is that? Ok, bukan I puji dieorang ni lebih-lebih. Look at the brightside. Its a good thing and kita actually boleh buat macam ni. For sure our medical service will be much much better. 

Ok selesai checking and interviewing, i kena scan pulak. Ni pun lain jugak. In regular basis kat sini, scan takkan buat mase first antenatal check up. Biasa dieorang akan bagi a different date for dating scan. Macam I cakap tadi yang jumpa I midwife kan, bukan doctor, so I dont think makcik Yvette ni boleh buat scan pun. So, yang akan buat scan I adalah sonographer. There is a special place macam xray department tu, tapi untuk buat sonography or other pregnancy related ultrasound guidance procedures. And, case I special sikit. I dapat appointment untuk scan on the same day, sebabnye mase Yvette buat bimanual examination kat I, die detect macam ade pelvic mass over the left side. Most probably fibroid. So kononnya urgent la benda ni, jadi I pun dapat la 'urgent' appointment untuk scan. And yup, it turned out that I memang ade fibroid. Ada 2, but not so big. So hopefully ok je :) insyaAllah... Terima kasih makcik Yvette sebab buat bimanual dengan jayanya. I memang tak tahu pun I ade fibroid sebab memang tak penah ade problem dengan my menstrual cycle and ofcourse tak penah buat scan diri sendiri before this. 



So, itulah yang berlaku dihari pertama. Lama jugak benda tu. Almost the whole day kat situ. Ikmal dari plan nak amik halfday terus amik cuti. Since it was on Friday pun. My next follow up will on this Friday. They wanted to review all the results and ultrasound report. Moga-moga semuanya ok saja and anak ini akan lahir sihat, cukup sifat and baka menjadi khalifah Allah yang soleh / solehah. Cant wait to see you baby. Muah!

Cheese ball

Holla~

Ok, I'm going to share with you guys a new recipe that I just learned today. Haha. Initially I saw my former lecturer posted in FB this recipe and it looks interesting. Its Cheese Ball. Dalam bahasa mungkin boleh namakan begedil keju. LOL!

Ok, ni bahan-bahannya:
1. Kentang
2. Cheddar cheese
3. Tepung gandum
4. Bread crumps
5. Telur

Cara-cara :

1. Rebus kentang yg dah buang kulit dengan sikit garam sampai betul-betul empuk. Ikut suke korang la nak gune brp byk ikut berapa banyak nak buat :p

2. Sambil tu, potong cheddar cheese into small pieces and then put it aside.

3. And then, lepas kentang dah masak korang lenyek-lenyekkan. Then gaulkan dengan tepung gandum sampai sebati. Nanti rupa dia jadi macam ni :)

4. Lepas tu, ambil sikit kentang tu. Buat bentuk bulat and letak cheese kat dalam dia.

5. Then gaulkan dengan bread crumps. I pakai bread crumps yang ni. Sedap.

6. Next step, salutkan bebola tadi tu dengan telur and letak selapis lagi bread crumps.

7. Then, goreng. Siap!



Tips: 

Jangan buat tebal sangat, nanti bila masak cheese tak cair.
Then, masa goreng kene ingat, SLOW FIRE! Iye, SLOW FIRE. Kalau tak nanti cheese tak cair, kulit hitam legam. Hiks.

I'm back!

        Hello guys, sorry for the long silence. Been busy since moving here. Pindah dari Kluang to Shah Alam, then prepare barang to New York. Alhamdulillah things ran smoothly, and now dah almost 2 months in new York. Yaaaaa.. Im in New York nowww!! Weee~

Anddd I need to thank my beloved friend Fairuz Alia sebab bagitau pasal apps Blogger ni. Senang sikit nak update blog sebab malas gile nak bukak laptop 😁. 


Okay guys. Nanti I update lagi okay. Its 9.27am here New York time, and its snowing right now. Need to do some house chores. Almaklumlah dah jadi housewife. 😊
